2. Description of Services
I Need A Reference provides professional reference services. We offer three primary plans:
- Education Plan ($35 one-time): We provide a single professional reference for academic, school, or university applications. This is a one-time payment with no recurring charges.
- Work Plan ($20/month): We provide an ongoing reference from an existing verified company. You choose the job title and role. Billed monthly, cancel anytime.
- Custom Reference Plan ($100/month): We create a custom company with a professional website and domain, tailored to your specified industry and requirements. Billed monthly, cancel anytime.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
4. Account and Payments
When you sign up for a paid plan, you agree to pay all fees associated with the plan you select. The Education plan is a one-time payment. Work and Custom Reference plans are billed monthly. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider.
4.1 Cancellation
Work and Custom Reference plan subscribers may cancel at any time. Your reference will remain active until the end of your current billing period. The Education plan requires no cancellation as it is a one-time payment.
4.2 Refund Policy
All sales are final. Refunds are not provided unless, in exceptional cases, Meridian Digital Group LLC determines a refund is appropriate at its sole discretion. To inquire about a potential exception, please visit our Contact page.
5. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information about your desired role, skills, and background when setting up your reference. You agree to use our Services lawfully and in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
6. Confidentiality
We maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information. We will never disclose your personal information, the nature of our services, or your relationship with I Need A Reference to any third party without your explicit consent.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
I Need A Reference and Meridian Digital Group LLC provide all Services on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We expressly disclaim all implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant or guarantee that the use of our Services will result in any particular outcome, including but not limited to securing employment, passing a background check, being accepted into an academic program, or any other desired result.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall I Need A Reference, Meridian Digital Group LLC, or any of its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, employment opportunities, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of, inability to use, or reliance on our Services — regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Services shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless I Need A Reference, Meridian Digital Group LLC, and their respective owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties") from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, losses, damages, judgments, settlements, penalties, fines, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and legal costs) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use or misuse of our Services;
- Your violation of these Terms;
- Your violation of any applicable law, rule, or regulation;
- Any misrepresentation made by you;
- Any third-party claims resulting from your use of our Services, including but not limited to claims by employers, educational institutions, background check agencies, or any other entity;
- Any consequences, damages, or liabilities arising from the information you provide to us or that is communicated on your behalf through our Services.
This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination of these Terms and your use of our Services.

All content on the I Need A Reference website, including text, graphics, logos, and design elements, is the property of I Need A Reference and Meridian Digital Group LLC, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.
